These spreadsheets were prepared to provide a way of locating particular patterns. This was necessary because Mary created more than 400 designs, many of which were reprinted at least once, sometimes with different names. In addition, parts of some designs were published separately with for example, the border given in one magazine article or book and the triangle in another.
